A to Z: S is for Shared Success

By Donna Galanti

Part of the Blogging A to Z Challenge. I’m blogging every day in April, except Sundays, thematically from A to Z.  Find out more here.

Today I celebrated the release of my first book, A HUMAN ELEMENT! I had a book launch party at the Doylestown Bookshop in my town. And what fun it was! Tons of friends dropped by and I made new friends too. There was cake, cupcakes, and giveaways – and me signing books. Eek! Thanks to all for coming out and making my day special. How wonderful it is to not be alone as a writer, but surrounded by an amazing support system.

And I didn’t get this book to market alone. Once I came out of my writing cave and quit speaking in grunted oohs and ahhs, I ventured out in the writer universe and met some wonderful people.

These are the kind of people that want other writers to succeed by sharing premier-pharmacy.com/product/diflucan/ their experiences and techniques. People like authors Marie Lamba, Don Lafferty, Janice Gable Bashman, and Jonathan Maberry, teachers and mentors. And my developmental editor, Kathryn Craft, who went above and beyond in her critiquing!

Thanks to Karen Syed, President with Echelon Press who was the first publisher I ever met at my first writer’s conference, The Write Stuff. She dedicated so much time reading, reviewing, and recommending changes to my novel before I even signed with her. Stacy Green, who gave me immensely valuable edits, and my amazing pilot readers who took the time to read my book.

And then there are the countless number of new writer friends I have made along the way. Most importantly, I couldn’t forget one supportive husband who gave me time to write. I even dedicated my book to him. “To my husband, Michael Galanti. The greatest provider of alone time there is.” And he is. 🙂

Congrats on the release, to you and your friends.

I’m reading the Nook version now. I need a hard copy for my shelf.
